The Tantric Cosmos of Chakrasamvara, Rendered in Extraordinary Detail

This exceptional Chakrasamvara Mandala Thangka is one of the most dramatic and iconographically sophisticated pieces in our collection. At the center of the palace gate mandala, the wrathful blue Chakrasamvara stands in union with his consort Vajravarahi, their fierce forms radiating the transformative power of highest yoga tantra. The mandala's concentric rings of deities, gate guardians, and offering figures are rendered with extraordinary precision and luminous color.

Above the mandala, Shakyamuni Buddha presides in golden serenity from a celestial temple pavilion, flanked by two Bodhisattvas, his peaceful presence offering a counterpoint to the wrathful energy below. The surrounding landscape is alive with wrathful protectors, fire offerings, and devotional scenes that frame the entire composition in a complete tantric universe.

The bold black border with a blue geometric inner border and the dense orange and pink decorative outer field give this piece a dramatic, museum-quality presence unlike any other thangka in our collection. This is a piece for the serious practitioner or collector.
