Wondering Monk was born from a deep appreciation for the sacred traditions of Tibet and Nepal a world where every object carries intention, every material is chosen with care, and every piece tells a story older than any of us.

This store has been over 20 years in the making. It started in 2002, when my husband traveled to Kathmandu, Nepal, fell in love with the art, the culture, and the people, and came home with a dream of sharing it with the world. The pieces you see in our store were acquired during those early journeys, beginning around the year 2000, directly from Himalayan artisans and markets. They have been carefully kept ever since, waiting for the right moment to find their homes.

We started small, selling to neighbors and friends right from our home in Lakewood, Colorado, then expanded to Facebook Marketplace where we built a loyal local following. Every piece we sold was handled personally, packed with care, and delivered with pride. Now we're ready to share what we love with customers across the United States.

We work directly with artisans and trusted sources in Nepal to bring you items that are genuinely handcrafted, culturally significant, and ethically sourced. Not mass-produced. Not replicated. Real.
