Unframed Vintage Tibetan Wheel of Life Thangka | Bhavachakra | Red Palette | Hand-Painted | 28 × 22 cm

A striking hand-painted Tibetan Wheel of Life thangka rendered in a rare red palette — one of the most symbolically rich compositions in Himalayan sacred art. Yama, the Lord of Death, holds the wheel in his claws and teeth, encircling the six realms of existence in extraordinary detail. At the center, the three poisons. At the rim, the twelve links of dependent origination.
This is the largest piece in our thangka collection — 11 inches tall by 8.5 inches wide — and the warm red border gives it a presence that commands any wall it occupies. The deep blue sky, gold figures, and intricate border iconography reflect the full vocabulary of classical Tibetan painting.
Acquired in Nepal. Vintage. One available.
